Please Don't It Throw Away....
In the years I've been a member here, I've ssen many build threads. I've seen lots of Barn Finds and new members with their recent purchase.
In that time, I've seen lots of them with the original 64-66 mats. But, for some reason, when someone first starts their build thread or start to do some upgrades, one of the things they do early on is tear out the old dirty mat. We just aren't aware when first stepping into our hobby that the mats are no longer available. Recently at a local wrecking yard I saw a mat that was obviously ripped and torn out to see the condition of the high hump. . So please, take some care and be gentle with them. I'm not looking for one now, but when I was, MisterC was kind to give me his. Myself, I don't care if there is a little wear or even some holes. For my goal with my project, an original mat with a few tears and a hole here and there will fit in just fine. A lot of these old patina guys. Ratrod guys. Or just a work truck would probably be tickled pink to have an old original mat - whether there are a few holes in it or not. .
