LQ4 LY6 6.0 and NV4500 2wd?

I'm looking into putting a 6.0 and NV4500 in my 86 3/4ton in place of the SBC/SM465. I've read a lot online and I think I know a few truths now, but wanted to get others input too!

It looks like there are trucks out there with the 6.0 and NV4500 in one configuration. Most likely in 2500HD and 3500 trucks from 1999-2007(classic)

But it looks like once GenIV set in and there was VVT or AFM GM didn't offer a stick with the 6.0

If all that is correct it would be cheapest to find say a 2003-2007 LQ6 with the NV4500 as a drop out. This has been difficult to find so far!

So I'm wondering if it's possible to make a later LY6 work with an NV4500? Most specifically talking about the ECM and tune... Is it too much trouble to have a stick shift on an AFM/VVT equipped V8 that didn't come with it?

Also, does anyone know a good source in Texas or elsewhere to check for the unicorn setup with NV4500 attached to the 6.0?

Thanks!
