New member and my 72 SWB
I joined the forums about a month ago, so still doing lots of reading here.
I'm Bill, from Pittsburgh PA, and recently retired from the Pittsburgh Fire dept after almost 30 years. Now that I'm retired, and bored, I thought I'd start another project. I went though this restoration stuff a few years back when I bought a basket case Chevelle and did a frame off restoration on it. I just picked up this 72 4x4 SWB that pretty much needs everything (although the bed is remarkably straight with very little rust. I'm going to do a complete one piece floor, along with outer rockers and cab corners. The frame unfortunately needs some attention also, and I started the repair on the worst part, as the photos below should show. I probably should have done a little more research, as I think this truck must have been a base model, by looking at the dash cluster
