Mirror Mounting
Whoever painted my truck before I got it put the mirror screws in and then painted over them.
20+ years later and there was no way a Phillips screwdriver was going to get those things out, so I drilled the heads off. When the last head was drilled, the plate with the nuts attached to it (that I didn't know existed) fell to the bottom of the door. That's going to be fun putting them back up where they belong, and then trying to screw the mirrors on at the same time. ![]() Think I'll put a thin wire through two of the screw holes and try to pull that plate into place, then try to hold it there with an Allen wrench or something through one of the holes, while I attempt to thread a screw in. Anyone have a suggestion or procedure that might work out better? ![]() ![]() |
