anyone use a rubberized firewall cover?

I noticed that American Classic Truck Parts sells both the cardboard firewall covers (which are presumably like the originals), or rubberized firewall covers (which are about $20 cheaper). The pictures of them look pretty much the same. Has anyone used either the cardboard or rubberized covers? Any opinions about fit, appearance, durability. I need a new firewall cover and it is hard to tell if these aftermarket covers are any good. It sounds like a rubberized cover would be a good idea, but I question why it is cheaper. Thanks for any feedback
