shortening frame and bed???

I know there has to be a sticky or a thread already on this. Not trying to open a new one or start over but i'm having a horrible time finding anything and the stuff i do find is overly confusing. Can anybody send me a link or to a sticky so i can try to figure out how to shorten my frame and bed on my long bed to convert over to a short bed. Im trying to figure out if my C-Notch in the frame will affect where i cut or if its still possible. Thanks guys
