Starting issues

Need some help guys...

I just put in a new starter and battery last week and all of a sudden I'm having a starting issue today. When I turn the ignition no noise or anything. The lights and radio still work so there's power for sure. The only thing that happens when I turn the ignition is these wires start to kick off a little smoke. Any guidance you guys can give would help a lot.

Only other thing I can see that I may be missing is this unplugged harness underneath the dash at the fuse box...

Thanks
Slim
