1967 truck short stepside

What gauge material was 67 OEM bed strips. I have noticed a vendor has 18 gauge available. I am making this a daily driver and mine are pretty bad. Thinking about replacing all bed and angle strips. I have all of mine they are just pitted pretty bad and a lot of the holes are in bad shape.

Buy bolt kits or go to local bolt house? Considering a few mentioned on site.
Any pros and cons would be great. Have not ordered any products from anyone anywhere!

Also considering applying a bed liner product to perimeter walls, bed, and angle strips prior to re-assembly. I have made adjustment to wood so they will fit below surface of wood.

Any prior experience would be great ! Thanks John in south Louisiana
