Man, these steering wheels are on good

Yesterday I attempted to pull the steering wheel off the column I picked up last week, because I want the wheel and I may have the column sold. All I accomplished was snapping the heads clean off two of the correct size bolts that came with my Mac steering wheel puller when I bought it 25 years or so ago. Considering my previous experience is with Volkswagens, where you take the bolt off, wiggle the wheel a few times and it falls off, this wasn't not expected.

Everything is loose and I can see the splines, so I don't think I've forgotten to take anything off... have I? I'm running out to get some Grade 8 bolts tonight.
