Safari windows on AD truck?

Well, as the title implies, I want to modify my front windshield(s) to operate as safari windows that hinge on the top and articulate out like an old VW Bus. I had thoughts of buying a kit for a bus and just figuring out how to modify it, but I think that there is probably an easier way. Has any one here ever done it?
