Did i mess up valve covers?

I got a new set of valve covers at Carlisle this past weekend and they hit the intake when I put them on. Be for I though about stacking two gaskets together I decided to file down the lip of the valve cover to make them fit. Now I am thing I messed up. It will be two week till I put the motor in the truck. Does anybody thank they will leak from what I did?

Now I did not mess with the flat part that the gasket touches just the little side lip. If it matters it’s a Chevy 350
