Brake swap, 70 k10 to 72 c2500 help

Hello all,
I have a 1970 k10 with six lug drums on the 4WD front axle, and next to it is my 1972 GMC 2500 2WD with 8 lug disc brakes.

The 1970 k10 is my beater, bought to use in the winter when the GMC was in storage, but now she approached the end of days, rust has taken her.

I am planning on swapping the 4WD system into the GMC, and after evaluating all the issues associated with this project, the only one I'm finding a lack of info on is... What hardware do I need to get to use my 2WD discs with the 4WD axle? Can I just buy 4WD disc spindles and use the remaining calipers, discs and hardware off the 2WD, or are there further compatibility issues?

Anyone with hands on experience?
