Help? 5.7 TPI Engine - NO ECM or Wire Harness

First of all I am new to this forum. So here is a little background, I was given my step dads 53 five window (Cecil) a few years ago to eventually give to my son when he is old enough. My stepdad bought this when he turned 16 in 1975 and it is really good condition. After some study I decided that I would turn this into a rusto mod, complete with a 85 S-10 undercarriage. For most is not all of this, I have contacted SKYMANGS and he will do transformation since I don't have a lot of time (or expertise) to get this wrapped up because I want my mom to see this vehicle before she eventually succumbs to ALS. Also I want step-dad to see his old truck turn into all it can since he is my mom's caretaker. I will start a thread on the truck soon, and SKYMANGS is great at keeping his clients up to speed on his Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OSGcustoms

So here is my dilemma, I have a 5.7 TPI (10k on the engine)from an 87 IROC that I purchased new back in the day, needless to say the car was totaled (not by me) and I ended up with motor but nothing else (no ECM, NO Wire harness ect). I was thinking the easiest thing would be to just carb the motor but I think there are few companies out there making after market ECMs and harnesses.

Anyone have suggestions, or experiences with aftermarket ECMs. Am I asking for trouble buy trying to rebirth this TPI?

Thanks,
Shawn
