np205 side mount

I picked up a 205 side mount that goes to the frame. I know a lot of people say this is not needed. However, the wreck I got into it snapped my transmission and I feel this would not have happened if I had this bracket.

So I got a used one, said it was pulled from a 72. My truck is a 72, but the t-case is mfg in late 73, so likely a "74" model.

I have looked at several pictures as to how its to be installed. But mine is not even coming close to that. To make it set flush against the t-case, it is on the bottom side of the frame.

So, are there different brackets thru the years that I could possibly get a different one? I need considerable more... vertical distance.
