New Guy

Howdy, I've been to the site before through Google but I just recently joined. I am 25 years old and have a 1974 Chevy C30 as my daily driver/weekend "hot rod". Me and my dad picked the truck out after my other truck, a 2008 Chevy Silverado was totaled. I wanted a classic because I wanted to learn even more about the way things used to be before all these fancy computers and sensors came about. As a mechanic, I like working on my own vehicles and being able to change ignition timing and air/fuel ratio at a whim by rotating the distributor or re-jetting the carb. I also like that the truck allows me complete control of every aspect and I don't get a "numb" feeling from driving it because all the systems are purely mechanical rather than computer controlled. I noticed visiting this site that there are alot of knowledgeable people that know what they are talking about and can help me with any problem I can't solve. I look foward to talking to y'all and will post a picture of my truck soon.
