Where does the HEATER HOSE RETAINER CLIP go ?

My 70 C-10 350 with factory AIR CONDITIONING, doesn't have the heater hose clip pictured below.

Were they only on NON air conditioned trucks or is mine just missing ?

If it's missing, can somebody post a picture of exactly WHERE it goes ?

( does it clip to the fender well ( like some cars do ) or is it just a " clamp " to hold the two hoses together ? )
