Finally found one

I have been on the boards for a year, lurking for several. I have been looking hard to find a 60-66 for about 2 months now. After getting PO'ed several times at crazy Craigslist owners that lie and deceive, I finally found an honest seller, one that did not misrepresent his truck.

I found one that has about a 10 year old re-do, a full color change to 57 Chevy blue green (?) and minimal body work because it was raised in Arkansas until about 2005. The owner got it from his father who owned it since 1969.

The truck needs a steering box, actually a power steering retrofit, some tires, some exhaust, and in a year or two some metal work on the lower front fenders where there is a few bubbles showing.

All in all, this truck is exactly what I was looking for, basically a stock truck with a 283 / powerglide, good looking, but yet not a show queen where I would be afraid to throw something in the bed and haul it, but good looking enough so I will not be embarrassed to drive it.

I will be a regular on the board now, with lot's of questions for you veterans.

Jim
