Question I really like the newer Chevy trucks, but wonder about the gas mileage...

The older 80s trucks got about 13 miles to the gallon. How about the newer fuelie trucks with the lock up torque converters? What kind of in town and highway mileage can you get with them?

I'm basically talking about a 1/2 ton, short bed 2x4, but interested in the 4x4 as well.

Thanks.
