AL 1960-66 SHORT FLEET bed for sale

Here is a hard to find SHORT wheelbase fleetside bed someone may can use, and priced to sell at only 400 bucks - first one to say "I'll take it" gets it.

THE GOOD: short fleet, nice undamaged wood mounting flanges all the way around inside, nice rust free front bed panel, nice wheel tubs w/ only average small dents. Never had a metal floor tack welded in it like so many. Decent straightness and good overall appearance mounted.

THE BAD: no cross sills except the big rear channel one, no wood, no tailgate

THE UGLY: someone wanted wider tires on the truck, so they cut the inside flare in the wheel openings in a series of small slits and mashed that metal down flat so the tires wouldn't scrub (common on red-neck owned trucks here in the South). Only rust through I saw on the bed is where the trunion mounts on the drivers box side. its rotted and somewhat distorted so you or your body man need to be real good with a welder to fix that tailgate mounting channel area.

Has to be picked up in Eva Alabama - 3 hrs West of Atlanta, 2 1/2 hrs South of Nashville, but its dirt cheap and will work for a rat rod, or for someone keeping a low budget and needing a bed real bad. It is what it is. Come get it
