Two GM Plants Featured in Discovery Channel’s "How It’s Made"

Several months ago a film crew from the Discovery Channel visited GM Tonawanda Engine plant in New York and the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant in Kentucky to film an episode of "How It’s Made".

The production crew spent a day at Tonawanda Engine plant filming the LT1 Corvette engine being built, and spent four days at Bowling Green Corvette Assembly filming the production process of the 2014 Corvette Stingray.

The 30-minute show on the Stingray will first air on Thursday, October 2, at 10 p.m. EST. The show will air many times after the initial air date, with the first re-runs scheduled for as soon as Friday, October 3, at 1 a.. and 11 a.m. EST. The 2014 Corvette Stingray, the North American Car of the Year, was the most awarded car in the industry last year. It’s no surprise that the new car attracted the Discovery Channel once again. Featured recently on two separate one-hour Ultimate Factories shows on the National Geographic channel, Made in America on the Travel Channel and Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy on the History Channel, among other shows.
