1960 c10
I've been looking at getting a 1960 C10 recently. It seems they are getting rare up here in Canada. Found one for $2000.00. Long box, a lot of rust. Transit mechanic was the original owner, and the second owner parked it in 1984 after driving it a few times.
I was born in 1959 and looked for a truck that year... then I got a great deal on a 1977 C10 this summer. Been hooked on the square bodies ever since. But that stepside goes to my youngest Grandson in 10 years when he turns 16. And Papa needs a build for himself. Now... it seems that a 1962 or newer frame might be more desirable suspension upgrade candidate. Should I build a 62-63 frame and try to get a 1960 cab and short box on it? Or is the 1960 frame a good start? I want to end up with a short stepper on air, 4 link in the rear, and a big block for the smile. |
