Engine Casting #s - 350 small block

Greetings!

My 64 C-10 has several parts that are not standard.

If I need to find the engine casting numbers, am I right in thinking that the numbers are behind the head on the driver's side?

If so, I am going to have to contort my head and neck like crazy to see if I can read the numbers. There is not much room there.
