If you swapped the dizzy out in the past, that could be part of your problem. If you dropped the shaft back down the hole and by that time the oil pump shaft turned and the new dizzy going in is now off a couple teeth. Rotate the plug wires on the cap a couple holes, then try re timing the engine. This will give you the ability to turn it without hitting the fire wall.
