Replacing rust cab supports

Hey guys,
I'm new to this site. A guy I was getting parts off turned me onto the site. I've been snooping around and so far seen lots of cool stuff. I have a 66 chevy I pulled out of a farmers field this spring. My first truck many many years ago was a 66 also (good memories). I have always liked the style of the 60-66 chevy pickups. I have been plugging away at the truck and was wondering about the best way to replace the cab supports. Do I just keep drilling out the spot welds or should I cut out the floor? Is there a thread that shows this being done?
