66 c20 rear end swap
Hello all, my name is Brian. I'm new member but not new to the site as I have been lurking around sponging up info. Gotta say its a neat site with bunch of good members to learn from. I own a 66 c20 long bed fleetside. It's powered by a small block 327 and it's a 4 speed (granny). I have an eaton rear end can't say what gear ratio it has but I know that I'm on 4th gear doing 45 maybe 50 tops and the rpms are roaring. I'm in need for a rear end swap since that would be the easier swap than a tranny swap. I recently picked up a dana 60 with 354 gear ratio from a 72 chevy at the local junkyard. I will be picking up a kit from a local shop that consists of the new perches and adjustable trac bar possible new u bolts, not really sure. I have a few questions before I tackle the job. First questions is where do I began lol what would be first before removing the eaton rear end?? Measure, record pinon angle on the eaton rear end or is it a pretty straight forward?? Any how here ate some pictures, what kind of thread would this be with out any pictures. Thank you all for looking and can't wait to hear some replies
