Anyone ever get a little distracted?

I may have a problem with ADD, or something like that. So, I started a thread about a year ago where I got a RIDICULOUS deal on a JEGS GM crate engine for $1207.99 SHIPPED

My truck still runs OK (smokes out of DS exhaust a little and has low compression on cyl 3, but still runs decent, motor has already been rebuilt to 0.040 over). So I was in no hurry and the truck is still drivable...

Anyway, the day it showed up:

So far, I've managed to unwrap it, set my pretty intake on it, look at it, and put it back in a corner.

My distractions for the year (this is only about HALF) Honestly, this may have been one of my most productive years ever:

It started off with a complete suspension rebuild on my Mustang.

It made it to the big 50th show in Charlotte this year AND the first couple legs of the Hot Rod Power Tour! Unfortunately, that's where this fairy tale ends as the C4 automatic took a dump on me on my way home from the tour. Somehow, I made it home. The next day I went to move the car and the trans was gone and smelled horrible. So out with the old and in with a junkyard T5, 5 speed! Could I just install a junk yard trans? Nope. Decided to take a leap and rebuild my first trans ever... and believe it or not the damn thing works!

Then I decided my front porch looked a little dumpy, so I tore off all the old rails, refinished the floor, repainted the outside wood, new lattice, and new Trex rails.

The awesome front porch made the back deck look a little pitiful... so that came down... and up went a new one.
