ISO fuel filter with 5/16 flare fittings on both ends.

I am cleaning up some of the plumbing under the hood and am looking for a fuel filter that I can make hard lines for. I envision female 5/16" flared fittings on each end. This way I can use the materials I have on hand. Has anyone seen one? Part numbers? I want to stay away from plastic and am leary of glass filters. I just don't like the way it looks now.

I called Fram and asked and the guy on the phone said I am out of luck.

OR is there a better way to run the fuel line from the pump to an Edelbrock carb?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
