A 396 with 366 heads

I did a little bit of research on the engine in a 69 C20 that I just bought a few weeks ago. As per the engine stamping it is a 396 350 HP for a camaro or chevelle but the heads are from a 366. Only drove the truck one time and it seemed to have lots of torque but wonder how its going to run with those heads. Can any one tell me what to expect with the engine?
I have had a 72 C20 before with a 402 and this 396 has a lot more response even badly needing a tune up and having lots of vacuum leaks. I am thinking that the 396 may make lots of low end torque with the small port 366 heads and from what I have been reading is that the 366 heads have small combustion chambers so that may help also.

I know every one likes photos so here is one of my 396 all cleaned up with fresh paint.
