New wiring.. a couple problems
At long last I am finally tidying up my new full wiring harness. I used Painless kit #10112. For the time being I am keeping the stock cluster.
Upon replacing the turn signal switch, I began to test, and a couple things have shown not to work. Upon connecting the turn signal switch harness in the column to the rest of in-cab harness, a couple wires in the uncovered part of the turn signal switch/chassis harness connection grounded to the steel dash. Upon this grounding, the horn stayed steadily on. Once the wire connections were properly insulated, the horn did not work. It has been a 1 man, slightly novice, job the whole way, but I have double checked all my connections with the manual and everything seems to work until this new turn signal switch was connected. I'm thinking the column is not grounding correctly. However, there is no turn signal switch grounding wire... any ideas? WORKING: Starting system Charging system Headlights Running Lights Brake Lights NOT WORKING: Turn Signals Horn Any help or ideas would be appreciated. I'm just losing my mind thinking.
