Headlight mounting rings

I went to pull my headlights this morning to swap them for Jeep JK headlights, and on the side I touched the ring that holds the lens to the core support came apart. The tabs that appear to have been spot welded to the rings came off.

Are the LMC ones any good? Another option is to try to tack it back together, but blowing holes wouldn't be a big surprise (I have a mig, no tig here).
