need help with pwr steering conversion fast

i started converting my 68 to power steering and ran into a few problems. first, the rag joint is a different size on the pwr box. obviously there is 2 sizes, right? also, what is the easiest way to get the column to collaps? the pwr box is longer and my column doesn`t want to give much. how much shorter does it need to be? finally, when i positioned the new box up on the frame, the front bumper bracket seems to be in the way. is there a different bracket or what? the power box is off of a 71 so i figured it would be a bolt on deal but it hasen`t been so easy. any help would be great. thanks
