No need in all that! I have a set of CTS seats and I had the same issue. I tore the system apart and figured out that the driver side connector has a second lead that needs 12v. You have to do the normal + & - for the red and black, but there is also a lower amperage 12v+ that feeds the switches for control voltage of the relays in that box. I believe the wire is red/white and is right next to the main red wire. The picture below is (I BELIEVE) the driver side connector. but I for some reason think is may be the pass side. Either way you get the point. Tie the top left two wires together and feed them with 12v+. All the other wires are unneeded. They are for the seat belt detection, memory function etc.
I'll verify the color when I get home. I have made mine work, but haven't found a mounting solution yet. Haven't tried real hard either. I'll get there.
