wooden bed kit?

Our 1947 (early style, looks like a 1946) finally came in from Arizona yesterday! Ill get some pics up ASAP.

Anyway, the bed floor is diamond plate - yuck.

1. Are there any good wooden floor kits for these beds? Google shows me a lot of 1947 and later style, but not for these. Seems pretty simple, no inner wheel wells so its just a rectangle.

2. Is it okay to just lay it (possibly bolt it) on top of the diamond plate floor, or do you have to take that out first.
