1-ton Longhorn vs 3/4-ton
There's a thread about 1-ton Longhorns (now I kind of wish mine was one, but I'll be ok), and it made me curious about what the difference is.
My 2500 GMC (think C30 Longhorn) uses, I think, 1-ton rails, has the Dana 60, same rear suspension. The only difference I can think of would be the front control arms and spindles. If that's the only difference, I can't imagine why they bothered to make both variants, so I must be misunderstanding something. Can someone learn me all about this? I've been working on one for three years, you'd think I'd know! Longhorn man?
