Question Lower control arm alignment ?

I'm about to start re-assembly and have got to wondering....

How does everyone line up their LCAs before tightening the u-bolts?

How do you know if they are located correctly (not to far forward or back)? I repainted mine, so I have no old markings to go by.

Thanks in advance, for any help you all can give

I just realized that I probably should have asked this in the suspension section. Hopefully I can still get some good feedback in here
