Sure, I swapped the trailing arms from left to right, as you pointed out. Part of the reasoning was the way I ran my exhaust tucked up between the frame rails, there was no good path to run the brake cables. Also, I plan on running the tailpipes along the outside of the trailing arms, as I'm planning on it exiting just in front of the rear tires. Currently I just have turn downs after the mufflers.

The Wilwood universal kit you referred to is the same as the Lokar kit I used. (Lokar actually makes the kit for Wilwood) You will also need the forward brake cable and then adapt it to your factory parking brake pedal/lever, part # EC-8001U.
