timing adjustment

I'm going to adjust my timing. I've watched a few videos and there is a marker by the fan pulley. in the videos I've seen there is a red arrow that tells you top dead center. mine doesn't have that arrow. am i missing it or is mine different? heres what mine looks like it goes 16 12 8 4 0 4 and top says before bottom says after.
