Re: Crash's 1988 Land Cruiser Build

Update time..

Installed new brake master cylinder.

New

Old

New rotors and calipers

Installed new light switch, I had cleaned the old one a couple of times. It would work for a few thousand miles and then the high beams would quit again. I ordered this from Thailand..

It is a very nice looking item, but the wiring harness is about 3 inches shorter than the original. I was able to make it work, but not sure I like it. Time will tell. If I have to I will re-solder the old harness to the new switch, lots of work, and not sure it is worth it. Buyer beware.. It works, but….

Old switch

New

Together

Over 17000 miles since the swap.. Made two 800+ trips in it last month. Stilling running strong.

The weather is starting to warm up here in central Oklahoma this week, hopefully we can get started back on the front bumpers.
