Post Doors

I need to move my DS door out in the middle, it hits the cowl for about 1 inch. The gap at the front is 1/8 +/- 1/32. I can not move the door aft any more because it hit the striker. In the maintenance manual, the body hinge mount only moves up and down, but I need to move it outboard. At one point it said that you can slot the holes in the body hinge sideways to get the clearance you need. How do you move the hinge sideways if the hinge is already fitting tight in the depression for it? Has anyone done this before? 53 3100
