contemplating another 2wd conversion. Let's see what you got.

Short story is I bought a 72 AZ 4x4 and shipped it to MI. Needs a lot more work than I planned. It has a 4" spring lift, great 35" bfg at's, fresh 700r4 (0 miles), np205. I just had the rear geared with 4:56's and detroit trutrac. I have a jeep for trail riding and don't know that i'll off road the blazer. I still need to gear the front and have a new front driveshaft made, so the cost is still rising.

So I have a chance to get a complete rolling 2wd frame from a 71. He's asking $750. I'd probably do a simple lowering kit, replace all bushings and ball joints, blast and paint everything. One main ? is will this lower the value of the blazer? And how much do you think the complete rolling 4wd frame with t-case would be worth. There's no scale or pitting.

I'd also like to see blazers with simple drops, 2/4 4/6. I love notched and bagged blazers but that's not in the budget.
