Got a Smokin Deal on a 1967 GMC C20 Super Custom
I was browsing through Craigslist Monday night and ran across an ad for a 1967 GMC truck. The seller was asking $800 for it. There was no seat or gas tank in the pictures and the the seller said the engine runs but there are no brakes. The pictures were pretty bad except I could see the custom fender badge so I figured it was worth a look. I contacted the guy and he said he would let it go for $600 and I told him I probably would take it but wanted to look at it first. Drove up there today and was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a Super Custom and this was inside the bed of the truck.
Needless to say it came home with me. Overall its pretty solid except the floor pan under the gas tank. it's pretty rotted through. The grill took a pretty good shot at some point but it didn't hurt the core support just the headlight bucket. Someone painted the truck black with a paint brush at some point and the original green paint is showing through. Hopefully most of the black paint will come off with a good power washing. Originally I was thinking part out but I think this one needs to be saved. I'll find out more after I get some time to work on it.
