Hang in there.
It's hard to see people you care about suffer.
See him as often as time permits. Just sit there with him for long periods of time if possible.
If you know his folks well, you will want to spend time with them in a few weeks / months. His parents may find comfort in having you around.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It reminds us all that life is precious, and we should all make sure every day that those we love know we love them.
Sounds like a Garth Brooks song. If tomorrow never comes.
