Aftermarket grille support question

I recently purchased an aftermarket grille support for my '65 and noticed that it's missing a body line. The original I picked up has a body line running along the top edge that is missing in the after market part.

My question is, will there be a noticeable mismatch between the fenders and the grille support without that body line there? Would it be worth my while to cut the top off an original and weld it to the aftermarket piece? Anybody have pictures of theirs?

Maybe I'm thinking into this too much but when I get around to working on the front end, I want to be prepared.

Thanks!
