Question Clutch slipping?

Not sure if this makes sense but, when I put the gas peddle to the floor I get no hp to the rear wheels. The tranny or clutch just rev up. There is just enough power to get the truck to go forward but if you stomp on it something just spins and no horse power.

Clutch plates rusted together from sitting all winter?
Clutch is fried?

I check the fluid in the trany and it is good and brand new.

Not sure where to start. Any help would be awesome...
