KickDown Switch

I recently put a SBC 400 in my 69 GMC truck, it has a Turbo 400 transmission. The truck had a 350 in it to start with and it never would go into Passing Gear, ( bought in the last year)
It's first trip out in the truck , it still didn't go into passing gear, I did a little research and saw that some of these trucks had a piece above the gas pedal, upon checking it doesn't have one there, and another place showed a piece on or next to the Carburetor . I really don't know anything about this area , ONLY THING I DO KNOW IS THAT IT HAS A ORANGE WIRE COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION ( 1 wire) but nothing to hook it too . COULD SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO BUY TO GET IT WORKING AND I SUPPOSE I COULD Goggle how to install unless someone has a link to click onto . ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED .
