joedoh Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Doodah Kansas Posts: 7,770	OD switch on a 1947 GMC? bought a not running 47 GMC today, so I cant try the switch out, but it has three positions (all the way in and two clicks out) it looks like this: took a bad picture of the trans too. (has a PTO for a hydraulic dump bed cylinder) what I noticed right away was the universal joint on the trans. its a 3/4 ton truck but my 49 3600 had a torque tube for about 3 ft off the trans before the open driveline. any ideas? its being delivered tomorrow so I can get more pictures. __________________ the mass of men live lives of quiet desperation if there is a problem, I can have it. new project WAYNE http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=844393
