K20 Crew Cab Short Bed Conversion

I'm knee deep into a conversion, and I figured it's time to consult the experts

A link to the build thread I've started is here:

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/chevy...w-what-do.html

The K20 chassis I bought was customized to put a Humvee body on,
the purist in me couldn't drive a hummer with straight axles so I decided to build crew cab short bed for some light off roading and camping rig.

Unfortunately it seems as if the motor has been pushed back about 8" allowing the body to sit half way on top of the rear tires.

Can you guys help me to understand how to move up the motor mounts the best way?

The drive shaft will need to be lengthened, so I was going to go pick up a 89 suburban drive shaft, since I thought it would be long enough - can you guys confirm this for me?

If the pics from Pirate4x4 doesn't load, I'll post them on here.

Thank you guys for your time.
