X Frame Exhaust Questions

I need to redo exhaust. My plans are block huggers into 2.5" tubing, run outside the frame rails, thru a cherry bomb and then thru a dynomax turbo muffler. Then I will either exit in front of the wheels, or out the back. I had a similar setup on my 51 Chevy car and I loved the quiet but nice sound I got.

My question is the best way to get to the outside of the frame from the block huggers. Can I go thru the space between the torsion rods and the frame? Right now my exhaust hangs really low, and I need to get tucked up nicely.

Here are some pics of what I have now:

You can see how low the exhaust is:

This is where I want to run the exhaust thru:

And then I was thinking of having it go thru this are where the body mount ends:

and then stay nice and tucked in this are on the outside of the frame. I will probably need to wrap something around those wires to protect them from the heat...

These are the block huggers I am starting with:

and I plan to reuse the mufflers that are on there now since they are less than a year old:

Any suggestion are appreciated.
