1976 chevy 292 external coil hei tach wiring
I have a 76 c30 with a 292. It has a external coil and I have a tach I would like to hook up.
There are 3 wires currently connected. One is the main feed wire and two are going to the distributor leaving one left unused. Two going to distributor. ![]() Top view of coil showing the main feed wire(right top) and two going to distributor (bottom two) and the one unused terminal(by my finger). ![]() It makes sense that this one unused terminal is for a tach. But, I want to make 100% sure so I do not fry anything. Thanks for any help.
