1976 chevy 292 external coil hei tach wiring - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 76 c30 with a 292. It has a external coil and I have a tach I would like to hook up.

There are 3 wires currently connected. One is the main feed wire and two are going to the distributor leaving one left unused.

Two going to distributor.

It makes sense that this one unused terminal is for a tach. But, I want to make 100% sure so I do not fry anything.
