Wheel Hop During Burnout After Changing Slicks

I just changed my Mickey Thompson E/T Streets (31x16.50) out for some Hoosier true drag slicks (29.5x11.5W) and created a strange wheel hop problem during the burnout. Which is strange because these suspensions aren't know for wheel hop and Ive never had the issue before. As soon as I shift into second gear and start getting some wheel speed the tires start hopping violently shaking the whole truck. The crew at the starting tell me it looks like the tires are trying to grip and start grabbing causing the wheel hop. I tried many different burnout techniques still with the same result. Its very frustrating because I can't do a decent burnout now to get the tires up to temp. Anyone have this issue? This is on a 1972 c10 with a 496BBC. Runs 11.40-11.50 @120.
